Stop Comparing!

Hey There...

I am Manya Arora, a 15 years old girl who is currently completing her 11th standard and is obsessed with writing and trying to change the world by telling some little realities that we usually face in our day-to-day life.

Hey fam, I hope that you all are doing good. So here I'm back again with another blog and I hope you all will read it once. Here we go for "Dear Parents" part two.

Dear parents,

"Comparing", it's just a small word but it has a gigantic amount of stress and demotivation in it. I don't think that every child is born to be a doctor or an engineer. There is a lot your child goes through daily and one-lifetime carrier which actually that one believes that they could be perfect at then no one has a right to demotivate them. Every child is different, their perspective to see the world is different and their way to adjust to this world is different. You can't say that your child can never be successful just because they opted for humanities or commerce. This is the basic problem in Indian societies these days. Every child has a different motive to come on this planet. They learn new things daily. Sometimes they learn to hate themselves, sometimes they learn to love themselves, and sometimes they do learn to stand up alone when the world out there wants them to fall down. You guys don't know how many insecurities your children have to face daily. I do respect your concern but every year your child becomes a bit more mature and some decisions are meant to be taken alone. They just need your support in whatsoever they wanna pursue ahead.

I understand your friend's daughter opted for medical but your own daughter has different dreams which can never be fulfilled by demotivation or comparison. Do respect their decision because she made it up to this but you don't know-how. Every person has a different story. Do your story resembles even a bit with your best friend?  If not then how can they do that? I understand that you guys are protective and possessive but trust me whatever your child is planning for is just to make you proud someday but not always by becoming a doctor. Everything is temporary but be the permanent supporter of your child because they have to and they will meet many fake faces ahead, who may destroy their willpower to move on with life. Just don't let your children be alone in this mess because they'll act quiet and a bit rude during this period but they need your attention and support, not your demotions. Your children won't let you in because they faced many things in life which were different from yours and they won't share their stories easily but they'll keep smiling every single day just to show you guys that yes we are okay and life is good. You know your child very well since the day you hold them first in your arms but things do change, they do have to suffer because nothing is permanent not even that nourishment and love and that special kinda feeling you give to your child, nothing is permanent because they do start hating this "love" which has numerous meanings in today's dictionary. Even if your children are sitting next to you they are not mentally there with you, they are living in a world in which they desire to be. That world where toxicity is far away and where they do feel inner happiness. Do help them to get in that world where no matter the world is satisfied with them or not but where they are satisfied with themselves and they don't need anyone to prove that. Destines are already written and your child will have a different one differently and let them be proud of what their destiny will have for them because without you no one could ever make them realize that how deserving they actually are. Your little demotivation makes your child mentally disturbed and things do go worse then.

Just believe your child because every child is deserving and let them do whatever they want to because, in the end, the most successful person in the world is neither a doctor nor an engineer.

I really hope that you guys liked this one. Thank you so much for reading it once, I really hope it made you smile. Have a good day ahead.

Building A New Normal.

Hello there, I'm Manya Arora, a 19 year-old brown girl who is pursuing her under graduation. I'm passionate about writing and attempting to make the world a better place by sharing some of the small facts that we frequently encounter in our daily lives. Hope you’ll give it a read.                        Have you ever felt that your comfort lies within your own pain? That your traumas, the very things you’ve tried to escape, somehow become a place of refuge? It’s a strange, unsettling feeling – one that may not be easy to admit, but it’s real. The more we revisit our past, the more we start to recognize it as a part of our identity, even if it’s uncomfortable. It’s as though we’ve become so accustomed to the weight of our pain that the thought of being free from it feels like stepping into the unknown. For many, the process of healing can feel overwhelming, even exhausting. After a while, you begin to wonder if it’s even po...

Stepping Into Adulthood

Hello there, I'm Manya Arora, a 17-year-old brown girl who just finished her 12th grade. I'm passionate about writing and attempting to make the world a better place by sharing some of the small facts that we frequently encounter in our daily lives.  Hey family, I hope everything is well with you. I'm back with another blog, and I hope you'll all read it at least once. Starting a new chapter after high school brings a mix of excitement and trepidation. We bid farewell to our hometowns, venturing out to chase our dreams and forge our career paths. However, this transition can prove challenging as we grapple with the newfound responsibilities of adulthood. There are moments when we yearn for the simplicity of childhood, a time when our worries were few and life felt uncomplicated. As we grow older, our innocence fades away, and we realize the need to navigate life independently, stepping out of our comfort zones. Leaving behind familiar faces, our friends and family, is n...

Remember the days when love was this enchanting, magical experience that painted life with endless wonder? It used to be about those timeless tales of beauty that made everything feel so delightful. But now, our language and dating habits have changed so much that we're using terms like "situationships," "friends with benefits," and "flings." These terms seem to have taken over, sidelining the simple, beautiful idea of cherishing someone for who they...
